JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Hotel Manager to take the helm of a characterful and much-admired hospitality destination set in the stunning Scottish landscape. As a Hotel Manager you will play a central role in shaping the guest journey, bringing warmth, personality, and operational excellence to every stay. This position would suit an experienced Hotel Manager, a Deputy Manager ready to step up, or two individuals applying jointly who can share responsibilities and complement each other's strengths. The Hotel Manager will lead from the front, blending front of house presence with behind-the-scenes coordination, ensuring seamless service across all departments. A background spanning both front and back office operations would be highly desirable.
DUTIES
- Overseeing Daily Operations: Manage all aspects of hotel operations including front of house, housekeeping, and food and beverage
- Creating Memorable Guest Experiences: Deliver a warm, welcoming atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression on guests
- Leading and Inspiring Teams: Motivate, support and develop a high-performing hospitality team
- Front and Back Office Oversight: Ensure smooth coordination between guest-facing services and operational functions
- Maintaining High Standards: Uphold quality, cleanliness and service excellence across all areas
- Hands-On Leadership: Step in where needed in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Driving Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes and support effective day-to-day management
- Supporting Business Objectives: Work closely with senior leadership to achieve strategic goals
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in hotel management, hospitality management, or a similar leadership role
- Proven experience of delivering outstanding customer service within a guest-focused environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, hands-on and adaptable approach
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting
DESIRABLE
- Experience working as a Deputy Manager ready to progress into a senior role
- Experience across both front office and back office hotel operations
- A background in boutique hotels or independent hospitality venues
- Experience with food and beverage operations
- Experience working with international guests and diverse clientele
- Experience in shared leadership or joint management arrangements
