We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Science Teacher within a thriving and collaborative Science department. As a Science Teacher you will deliver well‑structured lessons, support student progress and ensure high‑quality learning across all disciplines. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, using strong behaviour management skills and creating engaging teaching resources that inspire learners.
Duties
- Deliver engaging lessons across Science disciplines to a range of abilities.
- Support student progress by monitoring learning development and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom standards using effective classroom management and behaviour techniques.
- Prepare teaching resources, developing high‑quality lesson materials and practical activities.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, supporting the organisation’s well‑resourced five‑year programme.
- Promote safeguarding by ensuring a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in enrichment, assisting with trips, events and wider school activities.
- Engage in professional development by attending training, CPD sessions and departmental meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status – or ECT status.
- Experience with lesson planning and delivering engaging Science lessons.
- Background in supporting student progress across different year groups.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and maintaining a safe learning environment.
- Experience with classroom management and positive behaviour strategies.
- Ability to create effective teaching resources.
