Fire Sprinkler Repair and Maintenance Engineer who has experience in a similar role repairing and/or servicing fire sprinkler systems, excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills and good communication and IT skills is required for a well-established company based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, North West England.
SALARY: up to £37,570 per annum (£17.00 per hour) depending on experience + Generous Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Rochdale, Greater Manchester, North West England
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 42.5 hours per week, 9 hours Monday to Thursday and 6.5 hours on Fridays

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Fire Sprinkler Repair and Maintenance Engineer who has experience in a similar role repairing and/or servicing fire sprinkler systems, excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills and good communication and IT skills.
Working as a Fire Sprinkler Repair and Maintenance Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing reliability and effectiveness of fire sprinkler systems, maintaining the safety of lives and property.
Beyond testing and inspections, the Fire Sprinkler Repair and Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in identifying and reporting any defects or deficiencies discovered. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing issues, recommending appropriate solutions, and sometimes carrying out minor repairs and maintenance to keep systems in optimal working order.
DUTIES
- Weekly Routine Testing of Wet & Dry & Alternate Type Systems
- Installation Flow Testing & Fire Pump Flow Testing
- Pre-Checks of Foam Enhanced Systems and perform safe isolation and reinstatement
- Install/replace valve stations and manifold, install/replace sprinkler mains (large diameter and small)
- Have a good awareness of health and safety
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Engineer or similar
- A strong understanding of British Standards related to fire sprinkler systems
- A current, valid driving licence (min 12 months driving experience)
- Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills
- Able to forge strong working relationships with Stakeholders of all levels
- Level of IT confidence, including Excel skills
- Pro-active approach to problem solving
- Willingness to learn new skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment
