We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Rent and Service Charge Officer with experience in finance / accounting and social housing rents and service charges, ability to analyse and interpret numerical data and excellent communication skills. Working as the Senior Rent and Service Charge Officer you will effectively provide a financial business partnering service to the Operations and Resources Directorates. You will calculate the annual rent uplift, ensuring all rents are calculated correctly and are compliant with the Rent Standard, completing the Statistical Data Return to the Social Housing Regulator.
As the Senior Rent and Service Charge Officer you will be the key contact for service charges, calculating charges in line with policy, leading on and preparing variable service charge reconciliations as well as setting service charges for new developments. You will assist in the production of the monthly management accounts, production of specific working papers for statutory accounts, sector scorecard, and ensure accuracy of financial statements.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Working towards a professional accounting / finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Experience of working in a finance setting
- Experience with Social Housing rents & service charges
- Experience of taking complex or difficult data
- Experience of working in a housing association or a similarly regulated environment
- Able to analyse and interpret numerical and written information
- Strong analytical skills and a natural problem solver
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
- Proficient in a range of relevant software applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with all levels within the business
