Production Operative
A practical and varied production role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, teamwork and helping to produce high-quality snacks, including coconut macaroons and bites, cookies, flapjacks and other healthy snacking products. Previous food production, manufacturing or packaging experience would be great, but it is not essential, providing you have a good eye for detail, a great work ethic and a willingness to learn.

SALARY: £13.50 - £14.50 per Hour
LOCATION: Reigate, Surrey
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-Time Hours will be considered)
WORKING HOURS / SHIFTS: Monday to Friday, 7am – 3:30pm and 8am – 4:30pm
JOB OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Operative to support a busy production environment, helping with equipment operation, product preparation, packaging and food safety standards.
As the Production Operative, you will follow daily production schedules and batch instructions, monitor workflow and product consistency, assist with ingredient handling and help keep production running efficiently.
The Production Operative will also support packaging, complete accurate paperwork, carry out basic equipment checks and help maintain clean, safe and compliant working areas in line with HACCP and allergen control standards.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Production Operative include:
- Production and Workflow: Operate equipment used in mixing, baking, cooling and preparing snack products
- Batch Instructions: Follow daily production schedules and batch instructions to support efficient workflow and product consistency
- Ingredient Handling: Assist with measuring, staging and preparing ingredients for production when needed
- Line Monitoring: Monitor the production line for quality and performance issues, reporting concerns to the Production Manager and CEO
- Packaging Support: Assist with filling, sealing, labelling and boxing finished products
- Packaging Materials: Set up and restock packaging materials, including film, labels and boxes, on machines
- Quality Checks: Check finished products for correct weight, seal, labelling and appearance
- Equipment Checks: Carry out basic checks and cleaning on production and packaging equipment to support performance and hygiene
- Documentation: Complete and check production logs, batch records, quality checks and packaging reports using Unleashed and the HACCP plan
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment and tools, including end-of-shift, between-batch and scheduled deep-cleaning activities
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- No previous industry experience is required, as training can be provided
- Good eye for detail and a great work ethic
- Willingness to learn and follow production, quality, hygiene and safety procedures
- Able to work well as part of a team to meet production and packing speed and accuracy targets
- Comfortable carrying out hands-on production, packaging, cleaning and quality checking tasks
- Able to complete basic paperwork and record information accurately
- Practical approach to keeping work areas clean, organised and compliant with hygiene standards
