We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Project Manager with proven management experience gained in either the Fire Protection / Construction or within a similar industry and who also has proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software. This is a 360 degree role where you’ll manage the full lifecycle of automatic sprinkler system projects from design to installation ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
As a Project Manager you will oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring the efficient design, procurement, and installation of automatic sprinkler systems. Your role will involve close collaboration across departments, with support from the design team, Health & Safety department, purchasing and commercial teams, and in-house site management. The company is committed to a true teamwork approach, working together to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards while fostering strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Working as the Project Manager you’ll oversee compliance with essential industry standards such as BSEN 12845, NFPA, and FM Global, conducting regular site audits, participating in handover and coordination meetings, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. You’ll also coordinate with the Health & Safety department to oversee risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation, ensuring accuracy in as-fitted drawings and project records. Collaboration is essential as you’ll engage with internal teams, mentor junior engineers, and strengthen client relationships to drive repeat business. Additionally, you’ll play an active role in company initiatives, training programs, and ongoing improvement efforts.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in a similar sprinkler project management role
- Leadership skills
- Knowledge of BSEN 12845, NFPA, FM Global standards
- Experience in AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., FHC)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A customer-focused mindset and attention to detail
- Valid UK driving licence
