We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a FMCG Food Manufacturing Production Operative / Factory Operative who has a basic understanding of food hygiene with ideally experience working in a factory or food manufacturing environment.
Working as a FMCG Food Manufacturing Production Operative / Factory Operative you will be part of a skilled production team working in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality seafood products to some of the UK’s largest retailers, wholesalers, and food service providers.
This is a hands-on position and as the FMCG Food Manufacturing Production Operative / Factory Operative you will work across different stages of the production process, ensuring products are prepared, packed, and dispatched to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.

DUTIES
- Product Preparation & Processing: Handling, preparing, and packing fresh seafood products in line with customer specifications
- Machine Operation: Safely operating production line machinery and equipment (full training provided)
- Quality Assurance: Carrying out regular quality checks to ensure products meet required standards before leaving the production line
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Following strict food hygiene and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE, handwashing, and sanitisation routines
- Teamwork: Working as part of a close-knit team to meet daily production targets and maintain efficiency
- Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times, following the ‘clean as you go’ policy
- Flexibility: Providing support across different areas of production when required, including packing, labelling, and dispatch
- Compliance: Ensuring all activities comply with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and legal food safety standards
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Basic awareness of food hygiene standards
- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, or factory operations is desirable (team-leading experience is advantageous but not essential)
