JOB OVERVIEW
This is a great opportunity for an Assembly Operative to join the company’s production team and take on a varied, practical role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an Assembly Operative you will work on the assembly line producing products to specific measurements, calculations, drawings or instructions, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and safety. The Assembly Operative will also inspect products for faults or defects, report issues to the Assembly Shift Team Leader and help ensure production operations run smoothly and efficiently.
DUTIES
- Assembly Line Production: Produce products based on specific measurements, calculations, drawings or instructions under supervision
- Packing and Materials Handling: Pack boxes, load and unload materials and finished goods, and follow safety protocols at all times
- Quality Inspection: Inspect assembled products for faults, defects or imperfections before they move through the production process
- Issue Reporting: Report incidents, faulty operations or product imperfections to the Assembly Shift Team Leader
- Safety and Efficiency: Follow established safety and efficiency procedures to help ensure smooth production operations
- Team Working: Work individually and as part of a team to support production plans and daily output requirements
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in light production and hands-on assembly work
- Familiar with working to a production plan
- Able to work individually and as part of a team
- Attentive to detail and able to take pride in producing quality work
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to use your own initiative when completing tasks
- Good knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations
- CNC experience is desirable
- A forklift licence would be an advantage, but is not essential
- A solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures would be an advantage, but is not essential
