WORKING HOURS: Night Shift 22:30 – 07:00, Sunday to Thursday

JOB OVERVIEW: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Office Cleaner / Cleaning Operative to join a professional and supportive team delivering high-quality cleaning and hygiene services within a commercial office environment. As an Office Cleaner / Cleaning Operative you will help maintain a clean, safe and hygienic workplace across offices, kitchens, washrooms and communal areas while supporting high standards of cleanliness and customer service. The successful Office Cleaner / Cleaning Operative will work independently and as part of a team, completing cleaning schedules, maintaining COSHH compliance and helping create a safe environment for staff and visitors.

DUTIES: Your duties as the Office Cleaner / Cleaning Operative include:

  • Daily Cleaning Duties: Carry out cleaning across offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, kitchens, washrooms and communal spaces
  • Cleaning and Sanitising: Clean and disinfect washrooms, kitchen areas and high-touch surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
  • Waste Management: Empty waste and recycling bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically
  • Floor Care: Vacuum, sweep, mop and polish flooring areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
  • Stock Control: Replenish soap, sanitiser, paper towels, toilet rolls and consumables as required
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery following procedures and guidance
  • Deep Cleaning Activities: Complete scheduled deep cleaning tasks including carpets, hard floors, washrooms and kitchen appliances
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Report hazards, damages and maintenance concerns promptly
  • Record Keeping: Maintain cleaning schedules, checklists and stock records accurately
  • Customer Service: Provide a professional and courteous service to staff and visitors

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Strong commitment to maintaining excellent cleaning and presentation standards
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively
  • Dependable, punctual and able to complete work to a consistently high standard
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Understanding of safe working practices and responsible use of cleaning products and equipment

DESIRABLE:

  • Previous experience in office cleaning, commercial cleaning, facilities cleaning or cleaning operative roles
  • Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures
  • Valid driving licence preferred to support travel to the site location
  • Experience using floor cleaning equipment or specialist machinery
  • Able to adapt to changing site requirements and priorities
