A fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join the finance team. This role is a key part of the business and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s continued success.
As the Management Accountant you’ll be responsible for producing accurate and timely management accounts, analysing performance, and supporting the Head of Finance in ensuring the financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts and reports
- Oversee the purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll functions
- Reconcile accounts, balance sheets, and nominal ledgers
- Manage accruals and prepayments
- Provide monthly financial reporting to the Head of Finance
- Deliver weekly KPI data to relevant departments
- Assist in preparing monthly and year-end management information packs
- Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and drive efficiencies
- Deputise for the Head of Finance when required
- Undertake additional finance-related duties as directed by management
Person Specification:
The Management Accountant will require the following:
Qualifications:- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA - part-qualified or fully qualified
- Minimum 5 years experience in a finance role
- Experience preparing management accounts and working with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
