We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Manual Machinist with experience as a Miller, Turner or Dual Skilled Machinist, producing high-quality machined components to exacting standards. As a Manual Machinist you will read and interpret engineering drawings, work to tight tolerances, set tools confidently and use inspection equipment including verniers, bore gauges and micrometres.
The Manual Machinist will need to be reliable, motivated and proactive, with a methodical approach and the ability to meet challenging deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Your duties as the Manual Machinist include:
- Manual Machining: Produce high-quality machined components in line with the company’s exacting standards
- Manual Milling and Turning: Carry out manual machining work as a Miller, Turner or Dual Skilled Machinist
- Quality Inspection: Use measurement and inspection equipment including verniers, bore gauges and micrometres
- Carry out deburring of machined components during production cycles while minimising disruption to output
- Production Support: Take a proactive approach to supporting workflow and helping drive the business forward
Manual Machining Experience:
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist, Manual Miller, Manual Turner or similar precision engineering role
- Experience in manual milling, manual turning or dual-skilled manual machining
- Tolerance Work: Confident working to tight tolerances within a manufacturing or engineering environment
