Duties
- Client Relationship Management: Proactively follow up on leads, cultivate relationships, and effectively manage a pipeline of mortgage and protection clients
- Fact-Finding & Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough fact-finding interviews to understand clients\β financial circumstances, needs, and objectives
- Product Research & Recommendation: Research and identify suitable mortgage products (residential, buy-to-let, remortgage, specialist lending, etc.) and protection solutions (life insurance, critical illness, income protection, etc.) from across the whole of market
- Advice Delivery: Provide clear, comprehensive, and compliant mortgage and protection advice, ensuring clients understand the recommended solutions and associated risks
- Application Management: Guide clients through the entire application process, from initial submission to completion, liaising with lenders, solicitors, and other relevant parties
- Compliance & Regulation: Adhere strictly to all FCA regulations, internal compliance procedures, and industry best practices. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Stay current with market trends, regulatory changes, and new product offerings through ongoing training and CPD
- Business Development: Actively seek new business opportunities, build professional connections, and promote your services effectively
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mortgage Advisor in the UK
- CeMAP qualification (or equivalent) and Competent Advisor Status (CAS) is essential
- Strong knowledge of the UK mortgage market and lender criteria
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Proficiency in mortgage software and tools (e.g., sourcing systems, CRM platforms)
