Overview
Mechanic / Bus & Coach Vehicle Technician is required for a busy engineering team based in Hayes, West London.
If you have a current PSV License, then great. If not, don’t worry as this isn’t essential.
SALARY: £50,000 per annum + Benefits (see below)

WORKING HORUS: Monday-Friday 06.00 – 15.30, 07.00 – 16.30, 08.30 – 18.00 on a rotating shift basis

As part of the engineering team and working as a Mechanic / Bus & Coach Vehicle Technician you will help maintain the company’s modern coach fleet to the highest possible standard, ensuring peak performance, safety, and reliability.
As a Mechanic / Bus & Coach Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for a range of duties, including planned and preventative maintenance inspections, as well as preparing vehicles for MOT tests and other essential legal or compliance requirements. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring maximum vehicle availability and minimal operational disruption.
As a successful candidate you will join one of the largest privately owned coach companies in the UK operating from branches in London and Edinburgh, where their fleet of modern high specification vehicles provide a passenger experience that can’t be matched.

Duties
- Planned and Preventative Maintenance: Performing thorough inspections and routine maintenance to prevent future issues
- Compliance and Testing: MOT test and other legal or compliance requirements
- Operational Team: Working closely with the Operations Team to schedule maintenance and minimise disruption to the fleet\’s availability
- Fault Diagnostics: Accurately diagnosing and repairing all reported vehicle faults
- Workshop Safety: Assisting the team in upholding and maintaining all Health & Safety standards within the workshop
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ large vehicles / PSV / HGV
- Knowledge of PSV repairs and maintenance
- Current PSV licence (not essential but useful)
- IRTECH qualification (not essential but useful)
