As the business continues to grow, the company has a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join their team. The IT Support Engineer will provide remote technical support and onsite IT support to business clients, resolving service desk tickets, troubleshooting hardware, software, Windows, Microsoft 365 and basic networking issues.
This is a varied, remote support and client-facing role involving regular client visits across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, so applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle. Mileage allowance is paid for client visits.
The IT Support Engineer will also support client meetings, solution recommendations, quotations and account management activity, with genuine career progression opportunities into senior technical support, account management, solutions consultancy or technical sales.
DUTIES- Remote Technical Support: Provide remote IT support to business clients, resolving technical queries and service requests.
- Client Site Visits: Travel to client sites across Lancashire and Greater Manchester to provide onsite IT support.
- Service Desk: Assist with tickets, issue resolution, updates and accurate documentation.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve hardware, software, Microsoft 365, Windows desktop, printer and networking issues.
- Installations and Upgrades: Support deployments, upgrades and new system installations.
- Proactive Maintenance: Assist with monitoring, maintenance and improving client IT performance.
- Client Meetings: Attend client reviews, site visits and solution discussions when required.
- Technical Recommendations: Gather client requirements and assist with proposals, quotations and solution advice.
- Client Relationships: Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
- Internal Processes: Help improve onboarding, documentation standards and internal systems.
- IT Support Experience: Previous experience in IT support, managed services or technical customer service.
- Microsoft 365 Knowledge: Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows desktop environments.
- Networking Skills: Understanding of basic networking, hardware troubleshooting, printers and general business IT systems.
- Customer Service: Strong communication skills with a professional and confident client-facing manner.
- Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence is essential due to regular client visits across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
- Own Vehicle: Access to your own vehicle for travelling to client sites, with mileage allowance paid.
- Organisation: Ability to manage priorities, workload and service requests effectively.
- Hybrid Working: Comfortable providing remote technical support, working from office locations and attending client sites.
- MSP Background: Experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment.
- Client Meetings: Experience attending client meetings or supporting quotations and recommendations.

- Backup Solutions: Knowledge of backup solutions, VoIP systems, firewalls or networking.
