We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Machine Technician / Machine Operator / Machine Minder who has experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment, operating and running machinery with excellent communication and team working skills.
As a Machine Technician / Machine Operator / Machine Minder, you will help ensure that the moulding machines run to the specifications established by the Technician Department and that the containers are produced to the customer\’s agreed specifications. Focus is also paid to minimizing downtime and scrap levels.
You will join the Machine Technician Team at the company\’s Milton Keynes site.

DUTIES
Your duties as a Machine Technician / Machine Operator / Machine Minder will include:
- Machine Operation and Maintenance: Ensuring moulding machines and all ancillary equipment are in excellent working order, carrying out routine checks, minor repairs, and reporting significant defects.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Maintaining high product quality through visual and weight checks, fault identification, and completing quality control paperwork.
- Technical Adjustments and Set-Up: Removing, cleaning, and realigning machine parts, including heads, tooling, and blowpins.
- Raw Material Management: Managing raw material supply by changing over bins and reporting shortages to avoid production disruption.
- Workplace Housekeeping: Keeping machines, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment (Plastics exposure advantageous)
- Previous machinery operation experience – training provided on specific machinery
- Good communication skills
