SALARY: £13.28 per hour + £750 per month Shift Allowance

LOCATION: Heathrow, West London – Fully Site Based

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, 3 Month Fixed Term Contract (initial)

WORKING HOURS: 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 5pm to 11pm and Friday 1pm to 7pm

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Assembly Operative to join a busy production team within a well-established manufacturing organisation. This role involves hands-on assembly work, supporting production processes and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.

As an Assembly Operative you will be responsible for assembling products using measurements, drawings and instructions, while maintaining efficiency on the production line. The Assembly Operative will play a key role in ensuring products are completed accurately and safely.

Working as an Assembly Operative you will also support packing, inspection and general production duties, contributing to a smooth and effective manufacturing operation within a fast-paced environment.

Duties
  • Assembly Line Work: Producing products based on measurements, drawings and instructions under supervision
  • Product Assembly: Carrying out hands-on assembly tasks to meet production targets and quality standards
  • Packing and Handling: Packing finished goods and loading/unloading materials safely
  • Quality Inspection: Checking assembled products for faults or defects
  • Reporting Issues: Escalating incidents, faults or defects to the Shift Team Leader
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Following all manufacturing safety protocols and procedures
  • Production Support: Assisting in maintaining efficient workflow across the production line
Candidate RequirementsEssential
  • Previous experience in light production or assembly work
  • Experience working to a production plan or targets
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes accurately
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
Desirable
  • Experience operating CNC machinery
  • A valid forklift licence
  • Knowledge of production machinery and assembly processes
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting
