We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer with previous experience in managing ASB cases or housing management and preparing court and legal documents. Working as the Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer you will be managing and taking ownership of a caseload of high level complex ASB cases, ensuring the organisation achieves the highest level of customer satisfaction that they can.
As the Anti-Social Behaviour Case Investigation Officer you will have good knowledge of current housing and ASB legislation, preferably gained from working as a Police Officer or a PCSO / Police Community Support Officer or from managing ASB cases within the Housing Sector or Local Authority Setting, and be up to date with case law and have the ability to represent cases in court.
DUTIES
- Day to day case management of all anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases for all tenures across the group, with the ability to read and interpret tenancy agreements and leases to ensure proper handling of ASB according to tenure.
- Draft and serve NSP’s as and when required.
- Prepare witness statements which will be relied upon in court.
- Work with the in-house legal team and be able to represent the organisation at court hearings.
- Be a trained mediator to assist in mediation cases - undertake the relevant professional qualification (if haven’t already achieved).
- Attend multi agency ASB meetings relating to case management, and the safety/protection of the community.
- Build relationships with external teams.
- Support victims and alleged perpetrators of ASB. Giving advice, making referrals and trying to best support both sides through the life of a case, and beyond.
- Provide advice to the wider business on ASB.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Full clean UK driving license and own vehicle.
- Experience of managing ASB or housing management in a private or public housing sector.
- Experience of drafting court and legal paperwork, and representation at court.
- Experience of adopting a continuous improvement approach and adapting to change.
- Outstanding communication skills with residents and internal stakeholders across the business.
- Knowledge of current housing and ASB legislation and up to date case law.
- Ability to plan and monitor workload and cases.
- Ability to analyse information in order to draw logical conclusions.
- Has (or willing to study for) CIH Membership or equivalent suitable qualification.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Math's and English (Grades A*- C).
