This is an excellent opportunity for a Hotel Floor Housekeeping Supervisor who takes pride in high standards, strong team coordination and delivering a positive guest experience. As the Hotel Floor Housekeeping Supervisor, you will supervise day-to-day housekeeping activity across assigned hotel floors, allocating rooms and duties in line with occupancy, arrivals, departures and operational priorities.
The Hotel Floor Housekeeping Supervisor will inspect guest rooms, corridors, stairways, linen rooms and service areas, coordinate with Front Office on room status and readiness, and help ensure hotel standards are maintained throughout each shift.
DUTIES
- Supervise Daily Housekeeping Activity: Coordinate room attendants and housekeeping staff across assigned hotel floors.
- Allocate Rooms and Duties: Plan work according to occupancy, arrivals, departures, priority rooms and operational needs.
- Inspect Rooms and Service Areas: Check guest rooms, corridors, stairways, linen rooms and service areas to ensure required standards are met.
- Release Rooms for Sale: Ensure rooms are cleaned, maintained and made ready within required timeframes.
- Check Priority Rooms: Inspect VIP rooms, special-request rooms and priority arrivals.
- Coordinate Room Status: Liaise with Front Office regarding early arrivals, late departures, room readiness and status updates.
- Report Maintenance Defects: Identify defects and follow up to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Monitor Stock and Equipment: Check the availability and proper use of linen, towels, guest amenities, cleaning products and equipment.
- Handle Guest Requests: Respond to housekeeping requests and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Support Team Performance: Train, coach and motivate team members while monitoring attendance, grooming, punctuality, productivity and compliance with hotel procedures.
- Maintain Records: Complete housekeeping records, inspection reports and relevant checklists accurately.
- Promote Safe Working Practices: Ensure chemicals, equipment and cleaning materials are used safely and correctly.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory or senior housekeeping role.
- Good knowledge of hotel room-cleaning and housekeeping standards.
- Experience supervising staff and allocating work.
- Good understanding of health, safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
