A Fabricator Welder with proven welding and fabrication experience across stainless steel and/or carbon steel is required for a precision engineering company based in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Fabricator Welder who has proven experience in welding and fabricating stainless steel and/or carbon steel. As the Fabricator Welder you will work from technical engineering drawings, supporting high-quality fabrication and welding projects within a busy precision engineering environment. The Fabricator Welder may also occasionally assist with mechanical installation works at client sites, including nuclear power stations and food manufacturing facilities.

DUTIES

  • Welding and Fabrication: weld and fabricate stainless steel and/or carbon steel components
  • Engineering Drawings: read and interpret technical fabrication drawings accurately
  • Quality Workmanship: produce work to a high standard within a precision engineering environment
  • TIG/MIG Welding: use TIG and/or MIG welding processes where required
  • Workshop Support: work efficiently as part of a busy fabrication and welding team
  • Mechanical Installation: occasionally assist with mechanical installation works at client sites
  • Health and Safety: follow safe working practices within the workshop and on client sites
  • Communication: liaise effectively with colleagues to support smooth workflow and project delivery

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Welding Experience: proven experience in fabrication and welding of stainless steel and/or carbon steel
  • Drawing Interpretation: ability to read and interpret technical engineering fabrication drawings
  • TIG/MIG Skills: coded TIG/MIG welding experience is desirable but not essential
  • Flexible Approach: highly motivated, flexible and responsive to change
  • Calm Under Pressure: able to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced working environment
  • Proactive Mindset: methodical, communicative and able to take ownership of tasks
  • Team Working: able to work well with colleagues and support wider workshop requirements
