SALARY: £38,000 per annum + Bonus + Benefits
LOCATION: Cranleigh, Surrey
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday, with 1 Saturday every 10 weeks
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Class 1 or Class 2 LGV Driver to join a well-established and expanding depot based in Cranleigh. As a Class 1 or Class 2 LGV Driver you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of palletised goods within the local area, maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance. This role offers long-term stability, structured working hours, and the chance to be part of a business focused on operational excellence, training, and driver wellbeing. The Class 1 or Class 2 LGV Driver role is ideal for a professional driver who takes pride in their work and is looking for a reliable Monday to Friday position.
DUTIES
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operating Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles in line with road traffic laws
- Local Deliveries: Completing palletised deliveries within the designated local area
- Load Management: Ensuring loads are secure, accurate, and handled correctly
- Customer Interaction: Providing a professional and courteous service at delivery points
- Compliance: Adhering to drivers’ hours, tachograph regulations, and transport legislation
- Vehicle Checks: Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly
- Documentation: Completing delivery paperwork accurately and on time
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- A valid LGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence
- A current Driver CPC qualification card
- Previous experience driving large goods vehicles
- Good knowledge of road safety procedures and transport law
- A professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
- Strong time management and organisational skills
