SALARY: £29,076 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Mobberley, Cheshire, North West England (WA16)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible working between 7am and 7pm (business needs dependent)

Your day-to-day as Quality Services Technician will include:

  • Carrying out a wide range of product tests
  • Operating specialist equipment
  • Preparing chemicals and solutions
  • Working closely with manufacturing and research and development teams
  • Monitoring results, identifying anomalies and helping improve testing processes

DUTIES

  • Product Testing: Carry out a wide range of laboratory and practical quality tests on photographic products
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate specialist testing equipment and maintain accurate records
  • Chemical Preparation: Prepare chemicals and testing solutions following established procedures
  • Quality Monitoring: Record, review and analyse test results, highlighting any anomalies identified
  • Continuous Improvement: Support improvements to testing methods and quality processes
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing and research teams to maintain product standards
  • Laboratory Standards: Maintain a safe, organised and compliant laboratory environment

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above
  • Previous experience within a quality control or testing environment
  • Strong accuracy and a careful, methodical approach
  • Confident using computer systems including Microsoft Excel for recording data
  • Able to discuss findings clearly and question unusual results when appropriate
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a laboratory environment
  • Comfortable working in laboratory and low-light or darkroom conditions
  • Must have an unrestricted right to work in the UK
