SALARY: £24,027 per annum FTE / Actual Annual Salary £16,708 per annum + Benefits

WORKING HOURS: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:00pm, term time only (39 weeks)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Assistant / Junior IT Technician with good basic IT knowledge, excellent communication and customer service skills, who is motivated and enthusiastic.
Working as the IT Assistant / Junior IT Technician you will be the first point of contact for staff and students over the counter and on the phone, providing essential First Line IT Support and managing the equipment booking ticket system. This is a basic First Line IT Support Assistant position where you will perform basic tasks such as changing passwords and logging tickets. More complicated jobs coming into the Genius Bar will be passed to the IT Technicians via the Helpdesk.
As the IT Assistant / Junior IT Technician you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment that utilises both Windows and Mac operating systems, supports personal devices, and maintains its own comprehensive IT infrastructure.
DUTIES
- Providing friendly and efficient First Line IT support, in person and over the phone, to staff and students, working from the Genius Bar
- Operating and managing the school's IT equipment booking ticket system
- Responding to queries and resolving basic IT issues, such as password resets
- Accurately logging support requests using the ticket system and escalating complex issues to the IT Technicians
- Creating tickets in the IT Helpdesk for the IT Technicians to process
- Monitor stock levels on Genius Bar and relay this information to the Senior IT Technician
- Issue booked equipment out to pupils and staff
- Complete daily/weekly audits on equipment and stock
- Report any equipment defects to the Senior IT Technician
- Contributing to a smooth and effective IT experience for the entire school community
- Updating school social media accounts/posts
