SALARY: £46,400 per annum (depending on experience) + Paid Overtime + Benefits

LOCATION: South East London (SE15)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent (Freelancers / Contractors Considered)

WORKING HOURS: 40 Hours per Week (8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday as standard, plus paid overtime and overnight working as required for specific out-of-hours installs. Please note: In June 2026 the company will be trialling a move to a 9-day fortnight, with the studio taking a paid rest-day every other Friday.)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Installation Site Manager with hands-on experience planning and delivering site installations across joinery, metalwork, LED lighting, shopfitting and general building projects. As the Installation Site Manager you will play a key role within the management team, supporting pre-fabrication and installation works for innovative, high-profile projects while promoting excellent craft, safety and quality standards. The Installation Site Manager will lead site works, manage logistics, equipment, RAMS, workflow and client communication, while supporting a collaborative, inclusive and proactive working environment.

DUTIES

  • Site Leadership: Lead installation works on site in the role of Site Manager, working independently or managing a team as required.
  • Hands-On Installation: Undertake practical work including surveying, fitting, lifting and finishing.
  • Installation Planning: Manage logistics, equipment requirements, workflow and health and safety planning.
  • Project Communication: Liaise across the project team, including clients and subcontractors, regarding site works.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure installation works follow company health and safety policy, standard operating procedures and relevant professional standards.
  • Risk Management: Take a mindful approach to work by mitigating risk, maximising efficiency and minimising wastage.
  • Quality Control: Promote high standards of craft and implement quality control procedures.
  • RAMS and Procedures: Develop risk assessments, method statements, standard operating procedures and best practice guidance.
  • Team Contribution: Contribute to team meetings up to management level and support recruitment processes.
  • Professional Representation: Represent the company positively and professionally at all times.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Site Experience: previous professional experience working on site within installation, fabrication, construction, shopfitting or a similar environment.
  • Management Experience: Proven experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Team Leadership: Experience leading a team in the successful delivery of projects.
  • Site Logistics: Experience managing safety, workflow, logistics and high-quality outputs.
  • Technical Understanding: Strong technical aptitude with an understanding of craft, fabrication, materials and quality standards.
  • Drawings and Models: Confidence working from fabrication drawings and 3D models in Rhino.
  • Health and Safety: Good awareness of health and safety regulations and best practice for compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organisation: Ability to organise and manage time effectively for individual and project-related work.
  • IT Skills: Computer literate, with experience using PC and Mac administrative programmes such as Microsoft Office and Powerproject.
  • Flexible Approach: Flexibility and commitment to working out-of-hours, overnight or on sites beyond London when required.
  • Right To Work: Right to work in the UK without restrictions.

DESIRABLE

  • Site Qualifications: Current SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional Training: Relevant training such as First Aid, Fire Safety, PASMA or IPAF.
  • Mentoring Skills: Ability to support and mentor colleagues within a collaborative learning environment.
