Job Overview: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a SEN Administrator / School Administrator (SEND Support) to join a supportive and growing education setting committed to delivering excellent student outcomes. As a SEN Administrator / School Administrator (SEND Support) you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the SENCo and SEND team, ensuring efficient processes, accurate record keeping, and effective communication with staff, parents, and external agencies. The SEN Administrator / School Administrator (SEND Support) plays a vital role in coordinating SEND processes, maintaining student data, and supporting the delivery of tailored support for students with additional needs.
Duties:
- Maintain Student Records: Manage accurate SEND records, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Coordinate Meetings: Organise EHCP reviews, annual reviews, and parental consultations, preparing documentation.
- Process Referrals: Track SEND referrals, assessments, and external agency involvement.
- Provide Administrative Support: Assist the SENCo and department with general office administration and diary management.
- Handle Communications: Respond to emails, calls, and enquiries, signposting as appropriate.
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Work with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student needs.
- Support Screening Processes: Assist with dyslexia and speech and language screening administration.
- Maintain Registers: Update SEN registers and student profiles accurately.
- Monitor Interventions: Record and track intervention data using school systems.
- Prepare Documentation: Produce reports, letters, and communications for parents and stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role, ideally within education or SEND.
- Knowledge of SEND processes, including EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Strong IT skills including MS Office, database management, and record keeping.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
