The Grounds Maintenance Operative / Landscaping Operative will deliver safe, high-quality soft landscaping and vegetation clearance to specification. Working within a site team, the Grounds Maintenance Operative / Landscaping Operative will maintain strong standards of workmanship, productivity and site presentation. The Grounds Maintenance Operative / Landscaping Operative will work closely with the Site Supervisor, promptly raising defects, damaged plants, specification issues or site constraints while following RAMS, environmental controls and site safety requirements. DUTIES Your duties as the Grounds Maintenance Operative / Landscaping Operative include: De-Vegetation Works: Carry out hedge trimming, chipping and vegetation clearance Site Clearance: Complete general site clearance and maintain tidy working areas Soft Landscaping: Carry out planting, mowing and general landscaping activities Quality and Presentation: Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity, housekeeping and site presentation Health, Safety and Environment: Follow approved RAMS, site rules, environmental controls and all health and safety requirements Issue Reporting: Report damaged plants, defects, specification issues and site constraints promptly to the Site Supervisor CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL Valid CSCS Green Labourer Card or higher relevant CSCS card Previous practical experience in commercial soft landscaping, grounds maintenance and de-vegetation works Sound understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental requirements Ability to complete physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a site team Full UK driving licence Pride in producing high-quality work, with good communication and confidence to raise quality or safety concerns Respectful and professional when working with colleagues, clients and other contractors Willingness to learn, develop and support the wider team DESIRABLE PA1 and PA6 pesticide application qualifications Practical use of hedge trimmers, blowers and chippers Emergency First Aid at Work Manual Handling and CAT & Genny training Experience working on highways, construction sites or large commercial landscaping projects Experience supervising or supporting a small landscaping team HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
