Working with the Governance and Assurance Manager, senior leaders, the Board and committees, the Governance and Compliance Officer will maintain accurate governance records, policies, reports and assurance evidence. The Governance and Compliance Officer will also coordinate audits and assurance reviews, support policy implementation and help employees and residents contribute to service improvement, with some travel between accommodation centres. DUTIES Your duties as the Governance and Compliance Officer include: Board and Committee Support: Provide governance and administrative support, organise agendas and papers, and produce accurate meeting minutes Governance and Policy Support: Help deliver governance initiatives, policy implementation and guidance on governance requirements, procedures and standards Compliance and Assurance: Support adherence to relevant laws, regulations, standards and regulatory governance requirements Records and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, policies, performance information and assurance reports Audit and Assurance Reviews: Organise internal audits and assurance reviews of key business processes, reporting findings and actions to senior leaders, the Board and committees Corporate Planning and KPIs: Contribute to the Corporate Plan, Annual Report, KPIs and reports that support evidenced decision-making Resident and Employee Engagement: Support effective engagement and help residents shape and influence services Service Improvement: Apply new ideas and good practice, work across organisational boundaries and support managers and staff to improve services CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Ability to format reports in Microsoft Word and create agenda packs using Adobe Acrobat Strong time administration and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to produce accurate records and meeting minutes Ability to draft guidance papers on governance requirements, procedures and standards Confidence consulting stakeholders on governance guidance and requirements Ability to explain complex information clearly, concisely and persuasively BENEFITS Contributory pension Health Plan 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
