DUTIES Your duties as a General Operative will include
- Barrier
Maintenance: Maintain, repair and paint edge protection barriers so they remain safe, serviceable and presentable for site use
- Cleaning and
- Housekeeping: Carry out cleaning duties and keep work areas tidy, organised and safe
- Materials
- Handling: Handle and transport heavy items safely in line with working procedures
- Kit
- Preparation: Prepare and assemble materials and equipment kits for delivery to site
- Stock
Control: Support stock control activities and help ensure materials and equipment are ready when needed
- Tools and
Equipment: Use tools and equipment safely while following instructions and quality standards
- Team
Working: Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and support daily operations
- Health and
Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant health and safety legislation and procedures CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a labourer, operative, warehouse, workshop or similar practical role would be advantageous but is not essential
- Able to follow instructions and complete physical tasks safely and accurately
- Comfortable using tools and equipment safely
- Able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions
- Good understanding of safety practices and procedures
- Good communication skills and able to work well within a team
