Fire Risk Assessor is required to visit client sites predominantly across Oxfordshire, the Home Counties, Thames Valley and London to carry out fire risk assessments. When not on site you can work from home to write up your reports.

SALARY: Depending on Experience but competitive (higher salaries available for candidates who have both fire risk assessment and Health and Safety experience)

LOCATION: You must live within the Home Counties, Thames Valley or West London area as you will work out in the field to carry out assessments.

JOB OVERVIEW: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Fire Risk Assessor. The company is looking for qualified and experienced individuals with a background in Fire Safety to deliver quality fire safety services to the public and commercial sectors; in particular undertaking Fire Risk Assessments. Working as a Fire Risk Assessor you will be field based, completing on-site fire safety risk assessments and then returning to the office/home to produce the related reports to a high standard. As a successful candidate you will join a friendly, supportive company, but you would need to be able to work in a self-guided manner when undertaking audit visits. You will though, be part of a small, friendly team who all help each other to assist clients in meeting their legal requirements in relation to fire safety, within the time schedules allocated by the company.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: As a Senior Fire Risk Assessor you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Must have previous experience in the completion of Fire Risk Assessments in a variety of property types
  • Preferably have a recognised professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from creditable providers such as the IFSM, Fire Industry Association or equivalent
  • Must hold a full clean(ish) UK driving licence
  • High levels of literacy and written communication skills are required, and excellent verbal communication skills are essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Very customer focussed
  • Confident to work remotely in the field visiting client sites

DESIRABLE: If you are also Health & Safety qualified with experience in undertaking general Health & Safety audits and drafting policies and risk assessments, that would be a bonus but certainly not essential.
