We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Financial Accountant / Italian Speaker. Working remotely as part of a finance function, the successful candidate will support accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, audit activity and compliance across day-to-day and period-end accounting tasks.
As a Financial Accountant / Italian Speaker you will help maintain reliable financial records, prepare key reports and support month-end and year-end close activity in line with regulatory and legal requirements. This role will suit a detail-focused finance professional who can work independently, manage priorities effectively and communicate confidently in Italian and English or Russian.
DUTIESYour duties include:
- Financial Transaction Processing: Keeping track of financial transactions, including sales and expenses, to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Audit Support: Performing audits and checking financial records to support compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards.
- Month-End Close: Completing month-end close activities, journals and reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Year-End Reporting: Supporting year-end close processes and preparing financial information for statutory reporting requirements.
- Management Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Reporting and accounting in line with legal, regulatory and taxation requirements, including annual reports and accounts.
- Bank Reconciliations: Carrying out daily bank account reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies promptly.
- Record Accuracy: Maintaining accurate financial documentation and supporting continuous improvement in finance processes and controls.
Professional Qualification: Qualified accountant status such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA, or equivalent accounting experience.
Finance Background: Proven background in finance, financial reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations and compliance.
Language Skills: Native-level Italian language skills with fluency in English or Russian.
Italian Accounting Knowledge: Experience with the Italian accounting system, processes and rules.
Technical Ability: Good computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and general finance administration tools.
Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy skills with the ability to review data, identify discrepancies and maintain reliable financial records.
Organisation Skills: Able to manage workloads, prioritise deadlines and work effectively in a remote environment.
