We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor / Deputy School Site Manager who has experience in a similar facilities / caretaker / maintenance supervisory role, good leadership skills and the know-how to assess and carry out minor repairs and maintenance.
As the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor / Deputy School Site Manager you will work closely with the Site Manager to make sure the buildings and grounds are always clean, secure and ready for pupils, staff and visitors.
Working as the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor / Deputy School Site Manager your excellent organisational skills and commitment to excellence will help you play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors alike.
DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor / Deputy School Site Manager will include:
- Assist the Site Manager in ensuring the schools facilities are maintained to a high standard, safe, clean, and fit for learning
- Oversee daily site operations, supervising premises staff, contractors and supporting caretaking and cleaning teams
- Carry out regular inspections and checks, coordinate repairs, and keep digital estates systems up to date
- Help manage budgets for maintenance and repairs efficiently, ensuring good value and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate clearly with staff, parents and contractors, responding to facilities issues and supporting lettings when needed

- Experience managing a team, including cleaners and caretakers
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
