SALARY: £27,000 to £32,000 per annum + Benefits

JOB OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity for a careful and quality-focused Electronics Production Technician who enjoys hands-on bench assembly, testing, configuration and inspection work.
Working as an Electronics Production Technician, you will assemble small electronic products and sub-assemblies by hand, follow build instructions, use test equipment and computer-based test systems, and help ensure finished products meet demanding quality standards before release.
The Electronics Production Technician will also work closely with a small production team, contributing to output targets while maintaining accuracy, consistency and pride in workmanship.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Electronics Production Technician include:
- Assemble Electronic Products: Build small electronic products and sub-assemblies by hand, including cables, batteries, transmitters, PCB-based assemblies and LED components
- Complete Wiring and Cable Assembly: Carry out cable and wire assembly, hand placement and occasional hand soldering
- Follow Technical Instructions: Work accurately from build instructions, diagrams and drawings, completing processes consistently and to the required standard
- Use Tools and Test Equipment: Use small hand tools, meters, electrical test equipment and computer-based test systems
- Configure Devices: Programme and configure devices to the correct frequency and specification
- Inspect Finished Work: Check your own work and completed products, identifying faults, inconsistencies or quality issues before release
- Support Team Output: Work closely with production colleagues to support quality standards, output targets and a dependable team approach
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant hands‑on experience assembling, wiring, testing or configuring electronic products
- Fine manual dexterity and confidence handling small parts, wires, connectors, PCBs and tools
- A careful, accurate and disciplined approach to repeated build processes and quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions spot faults and take responsibility for putting things right
- Dependable, cooperative and comfortable working in a close‑knit, output‑focused team
- Basic IT confidence, including use of a desktop PC and standard Microsoft software
- Full right to work in the UK (Essential)
- Ability to demonstrate a reliable and reasonable daily commute to Elstree, Hertfordshire (Essential)
- Some flexibility for occasional overtime at peak times
