An exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee commercial electrical installations across fit-out projects and M&E projects throughout London and the South East. Ideal for candidates with experience in electrical contracting, site supervision, electrical compliance, building services, and electrical testing.

SALARY: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Site Based across London and the South East of England (various locations)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, with overtime as required to fulfil the role

JOB OVERVIEW: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to oversee commercial electrical installations across fit-out projects and M&E projects within the construction and building services sector. Working across multiple live sites, you will manage day-to-day site supervision, coordinate electricians, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. As an Electrical Supervisor you will support electrical contracting operations by managing labour, maintaining electrical compliance standards, overseeing electrical testing activities, and liaising with contractors and clients. Previous experience supervising electricians on commercial construction or fit-out projects is essential. The successful Electrical Supervisor will have strong technical knowledge of BS 7671 regulations, commercial electrical installations, electrical maintenance, and construction site supervisor responsibilities. DUTIES: Your duties as the Electrical Supervisor include:

  • Supervising Electrical Installations: Oversee day-to-day electrical works to ensure delivery to programme, specification, and budget
  • Managing Site Teams: Coordinate electricians and apprentices, allocating tasks and monitoring productivity
  • Maintaining Health and Safety: Enforce site safety procedures, conduct toolbox talks, and review RAMS documentation
  • Liaising with Stakeholders: Work closely with clients, contractors, and other trades to coordinate activities and resolve issues
  • Reviewing Technical Drawings: Interpret schematics, specifications, and installation drawings accurately
  • Monitoring Quality Standards: Ensure all electrical installations meet required standards and high-quality finishes
  • Supporting Inspection and Testing: Carry out or oversee electrical testing, inspection, and certification processes
  • Managing Site Documentation: Maintain accurate site diaries, certificates, records, and progress reports
  • Identifying Variations: Highlight design queries, programme risks, and out-of-scope works to the project manager
  • Supporting Efficient Delivery: Monitor labour allocation, materials usage, and minimise waste on site

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Fully qualified electrician with City & Guilds 2360/2365 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
  • Current 18th Edition (BS 7671) certification
  • ECS/CSCS Gold Card or above
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leading hand role within commercial construction projects
  • Proven experience of managing teams on live construction sites
  • Strong understanding of commercial electrical installations, electrical maintenance, and site supervision
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Professional and solutions-focused approach to work

DESIRABLE:

  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification or equivalent
  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • Experience across industrial, retail, residential, or public sector projects
  • Knowledge of integrated building systems including data, fire alarms, and security systems
