An excellent opportunity for a creative and detail-focused Digital Marketing Executive to join an in-house marketing team, supporting CRM, email, SMS and app push notification campaigns for a growing ecommerce business.

This role is known internally as a CRM / Email Marketing Executive.

SALARY: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Scarborough, North Yorkshire (Close to A64, Seamer Train Station and Free Parking Onsite)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 9:00am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

As the Digital Marketing Executive you will join an in-house CRM team supporting targeted customer campaigns across email, SMS and app push notifications. The Digital Marketing Executive will help optimise a growing customer database, improve campaign performance and support sales, conversions and customer interactions across key marketing channels. This role would suit someone with strong attention to detail, creative ideas, good copywriting skills and an interest in digital marketing, ecommerce and customer behaviour.

DUTIES

  • Prepare Campaigns: Create and prepare emails for distribution while actively managing the customer database.
  • Create Content: Produce engaging, accurate and purposeful campaign content for the target audience.
  • Plan Promotions: Support relevant exposure for brands, promotions, offers, events and campaign activity.
  • Develop App Campaigns: Assist with app campaigns while monitoring performance and return on investment.
  • Analyse Results: Review previous campaigns and identify trends in processes, messaging and user behaviour.
  • Monitor Customer Journeys: Track the performance of customer journeys and database segmentation.
  • Maintain Dashboards: Set up and maintain dashboards to measure key performance indicators and marketing metrics.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Motivated, positive and energetic, with pride in producing accurate, detailed work.
  • Interest in digital marketing and a desire to develop knowledge in this area.
  • Good level of design ability and creativity.
  • Ability to write engaging campaign copy.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Confident contributing ideas and opinions during marketing discussions.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage and plan workload effectively.
  • Ability to write or understand HTML and CSS is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience of Google Analytics and/or email marketing is beneficial but not essential, as training is provided.
  • Marketing-related degree or similar qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous marketing or ecommerce background would be preferable but is not essential.
  • Confident communicator who can explain ideas to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, changing business environment.
  • Forward-thinking, with confidence to communicate potential hurdles to the team and other departments.
