An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MIG TIG Welder Fabricator to join a well-established engineering company. This role is ideal for someone with MIG welding, TIG welding, fabrication, metalworking and engineering workshop experience working from technical drawings.
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a MIG TIG Welder Fabricator to join a highly regarded engineering and manufacturing team supporting projects across the UK. As a MIG TIG Welder Fabricator you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to precise specifications using MIG, TIG and arc welding techniques. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, preparing materials and carrying out fabrication work to high quality standards. The successful MIG TIG Welder Fabricator will work with a variety of tools, welding equipment and heavy steel materials while ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and within project deadlines. Previous experience within fabrication, welding and manufacturing environments will be highly beneficial.
DUTIES
- Operating Welding Equipment: Joining metal components using MIG, TIG and arc welding techniques
- Reading Engineering Drawings: Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
- Fabricating Components: Manufacturing and repairing metal structures and components to specification
- Inspecting Welds: Checking completed welds to ensure structural soundness and quality standards are met
- Preparing Materials: Using hand tools and grinding equipment to prepare materials for welding
- Maintaining Equipment: Carrying out routine maintenance and checks on welding machinery and tools
- Working Safely: Following all relevant health and safety procedures within the workshop environment
- Meeting Deadlines: Completing fabrication and welding tasks within agreed timescales
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous Experience: Proven experience in welding and fabrication within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Technical Drawing Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Welding Knowledge: Experience using MIG, TIG and arc welding techniques
- Fabrication Skills: Ability to operate welding and fabrication machinery safely and effectively
- Material Handling: Experience working with heavy steel materials would be advantageous
- Tool Competency: Confident using hand tools, grinders and measuring equipment
- Attention To Detail: Ability to produce accurate, high-quality fabrication work
- Communication Skills: Able to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
