This is an exciting opportunity for an Estates Projects & Compliance Manager to lead estates compliance, health and safety, and facilities projects, ensuring safe, sustainable, and high-quality learning environments across a multi-site organisation.

LOCATION: Supporting multiple sites across the Trust covering Coventry, Warwickshire and Leicestershire
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm, Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm
JOB OVERVIEW: We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Estates Projects & Compliance Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering safe, compliant, and future-ready estates and facilities across a diverse education portfolio. As an Estates Projects & Compliance Manager you will provide strategic and technical leadership across estates projects, facilities management, building compliance, health and safety, and environmental initiatives, ensuring buildings remain legally compliant and operationally effective. Working closely with senior leaders, premises teams, and external contractors, the Estates Projects & Compliance Manager will oversee capital works, compliance systems, audits, and contractor management, supporting long-term sustainability and organisational priorities.
DUTIES
- Estates and Facilities Management: Leading the effective management of buildings, grounds, and facilities across multiple sites
- Compliance Oversight: Managing statutory building compliance, including asbestos, legionella, and health and safety
- Health and Safety Leadership: Providing audits, risk assessments, technical guidance, and compliance documentation
- Project Delivery: Supporting and delivering capital works and minor projects from design through to completion
- Contractor Management: Coordinating contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure safe working practices
- Budget Management: Assisting with estates, facilities, and project budgets in line with procurement policies
- Energy and Utilities Management: Supporting sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency, and utilities monitoring
- Asset Management: Maintaining estates and facilities asset records and lifecycle planning
- Reporting and Governance: Preparing reports and compliance updates for senior leadership
- Site Support: Providing on-site leadership during major works to minimise operational disruption
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- A minimum of HNC or HND in an estates, facilities, buildings, or engineering-related subject
- A full UK driving licence with access to own transport
- Previous experience managing estates or facilities compliance and health and safety
- Proven experience working with contractors, consultants, and CDM regulations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and building documentation
- Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and facilities management systems
DESIRABLE
- A relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience
- IOSH or NEBOSH health and safety qualification
- Experience with asbestos and legionella management
- Knowledge of energy management and sustainability initiatives
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software
