This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller or Horizontal Borer to join a modern machine shop environment, producing one-off and large machined components using FANUC-controlled CNC milling and boring machines.

As a CNC Miller / CNC Machinist you will set, programme and operate large CNC milling and horizontal boring machines producing complex one-off components to exacting standards. The CNC Miller / CNC Machinist will join a supportive team committed to continuous learning, quality and long-term career development. DUTIES

  • Set, programme and operate large FANUC-controlled CNC milling and horizontal boring machines.
  • Manufacture one-off components from billets, castings, forgings and fabrications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and manufacture components to specification.
  • Check dimensions and surface finish using manual measuring equipment.
  • Produce high-quality work while taking excellent care of customer components.
  • Continue developing machining skills through the company's competency framework and training opportunities.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Time-served machine shop apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience operating CNC milling machines or horizontal borers.
  • Able to set up one-off machining jobs.
  • CNC programming experience.
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Skilled in using manual measuring equipment to inspect dimensions and surface finish.
  • Strong attention to quality and accuracy.
