Location: You will travel to Service Users’ in their own homes in Haringey and surrounding areas.

Job Overview: The organisation is looking for caring, compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to support people in the local community to live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be providing high-quality, person-centred care while building meaningful relationships with those you support. Working as a Care Assistant, you will play an important part in helping people maintain their dignity, confidence, independence and wellbeing. Your support may include personal care, meal preparation, medication support, companionship, shopping, light household tasks and helping people feel safe and valued in their own homes.

Duties:

  • Providing Person-Centred Care: Deliver high-quality care and support in line with each service user’s individual care plan.
  • Making a Difference: Help people live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes.
  • Promoting Dignity and Independence: Support service users to maintain choice, confidence, dignity, wellbeing and self-esteem.
  • Personal Care: Assist with personal care, nutrition, hydration and daily living activities where required.
  • Meal and Medication Support: Assist with meal preparation and medication in line with agreed care plans and procedures.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support, reassurance and meaningful companionship to help reduce isolation.
  • Everyday Living Support: Help with shopping, light household tasks and maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Monitoring Wellbeing: Observe and report any changes in a service user’s health, wellbeing or circumstances.
  • Care Records: Maintain accurate, up-to-date care notes, reports and documentation.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, unpaid carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Mobile App Use: Use a mobile phone and carers app to access information, confirm attendance and complete required records.
  • Safeguarding: Identify and report any concerns relating to abuse, neglect, safety or wellbeing.
  • Professional Standards: Respect privacy, dignity, confidentiality, culture, beliefs and individual differences at all times.
  • Training and Development: Take part in training, supervision, meetings and performance reviews as required.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • English language skills required.

  • Previous care experience.
