JOB OVERVIEW

This is an excellent opportunity for an LGV Driver / HGV Driver who wants local routes, daily returns and a stable full-time role within a supportive transport operation. Working as the LGV Driver / HGV Driver, you will join the company in one of multiple available driving positions, handling local multi-drop pallet deliveries and collections while operating Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.

DUTIES

  • Operate Local Routes: Drive Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently on local delivery and collection routes.
  • Complete Multi-Drop Deliveries: Deliver and collect mostly palletised goods across local routes.
  • Use Electric Pallet Trucks: Unload cargo safely and efficiently using electric pallet truck equipment.
  • Carry Out Vehicle Checks: Complete daily vehicle safety checks to help keep vehicles running smoothly.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurate and up to date.
  • Work Professionally: Represent the company positively through a reliable, punctual and safe approach to driving.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid UK LGV Class 1 C+E or Class 2 C driving licence.
  • Up‑to‑date Driver CPC card.
  • Digital Tachograph card.
  • Clean driving record with no more than six penalty points for insurance purposes.
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-focused approach to driving.
  • Professional attitude when completing deliveries, collections and customer-facing duties.
  • Experience using an electric pallet truck would be beneficial, although training can be provided.
