LOCATION: Hybrid role, working part from the office in Glasgow, Scotland (G40) and part from home

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst / BI Officer to champion the greater use of data and evidence-based decision making across the organisation.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst / BI Officer you will design and deliver impactful data visualisations and dashboards, using tools such as Power BI, to help internal teams and partners better understand performance and trends.
The Business Intelligence Analyst / BI Officer will work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to promote a culture of data-led improvement, ensuring insights are clear, accessible, and actionable.

Duties
- Champion Data Use: Promote the effective use of data across the organisation and the wider sport sector
- Analyse And Interpret: Synthesise and interpret data from multiple sources to inform decision making
- Develop Dashboards: Design and maintain data visualisations and reports using Power BI and other tools
- Upskill Others: Deliver training and resources to support staff and partners in using data for planning and evaluation
- Ensure Data Standards: Develop and maintain data standards and protocols across programmes
- Collaborate On Research: Contribute to the design and delivery of the organisation’s research plan and business intelligence strategy
- Provide Insights: Communicate complex findings in clear, engaging ways to non-technical audiences
- Support Data Quality: Work with data administrators to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data reporting
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience of analysing and presenting data to varied audiences
- Knowledge and experience of using Power BI and DAX for data visualisation
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and data modelling
- Understanding of data standards and statistical/research methods
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Logical thinker with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- A degree or postgraduate qualification including research methods or statistics, or equivalent experience
