We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an IT Consultant (Identity & Access / Active Directory) to join a specialist consultancy delivering enterprise IT infrastructure and identity management solutions.
The IT Consultant will support Active Directory migrations and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) environments. Working within a structured delivery team, the IT Consultant will contribute to identity and access management projects, including directory migrations, cloud synchronisation, and infrastructure modernisation. This role offers exposure to Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, cybersecurity, and hybrid cloud environments, supporting large-scale migrations while developing technical consultancy skills.
The company specialise in helping organisations maximise their investments in Microsoft 365, Azure and Teams voice management. They provide expert consultancy, 24/7 support, and automation-driven administration and configuration services to streamline communication, enhance collaboration and boost productivity for their clients.
Your duties as the IT Consultant include:
- Support AD Migrations: Assist with Active Directory migrations, consolidations, and restructures
- Implement Infrastructure: Configure domain controllers, replication, DNS, and core infrastructure services
- Manage Group Policy: Design and troubleshoot OU structures and Group Policy configurations
- Execute Migration Waves: Support pilots, cutovers, and validation activities
- Troubleshoot Identity Issues: Resolve authentication, directory, and policy-related problems
- Support Entra ID Integration: Assist with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) synchronisation and identity management
- Provide Hypercare Support: Assist during early life support following project delivery
Previous experience supporting Active Directory migrations and restructures
Proven experience with Group Policy, OU design, and delegated administration
Strong troubleshooting skills across authentication and directory services
Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and directory synchronisation concepts
Experience supporting privileged access models and security hardening
Experience contributing to operational handover and support documentation
Familiarity with cloud computing and hybrid IT infrastructure environments
Exposure to enterprise-level deployments and cutting-edge technologies
