SALARY: £22,568 to £26,437 per annum (Depending on skills and experience) + Benefits

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business specialising in bespoke identification products. Working within the Metal Finishing department, you'll receive training to carry out a variety of finishing, polishing, cutting and production processes while helping to deliver quality products on time and to the highest standards.
As a Production Operative you will work closely with colleagues across the production team, maintaining excellent quality, health and safety and housekeeping standards while continuing to develop your manufacturing skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Operative looking to join a stable business that offers training, long-term career development and a supportive team environment.
DUTIES
- Manufacture Products: Carry out a range of metal finishing, polishing, cutting, pressing, laminating and production processes following training
- Operate Equipment: Safely use production machinery, hand tools and specialist manufacturing equipment
- Meet Production Targets: Produce work to agreed quality, delivery and productivity standards
- Inspect Finished Products: Check completed work to ensure products meet company quality standards
- Maintain High Standards: Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant with health, safety and ISO 9001 procedures
- Work as a Team: Collaborate with colleagues across production departments to ensure customer orders are completed on time
- Develop Skills: Participate in training and continuously develop manufacturing knowledge and practical skills
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good literacy, numeracy and verbal communication skills
- A reliable, flexible and proactive approach with a willingness to learn
- Able to prioritise work and meet production deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to working safely and following company procedures
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience within a metal finishing or production environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using ERP or EFACS systems
