We are looking for a senior technical architect or design professional with proven experience in B2B telecoms, unified communications and voice solutions. We need strong experience with Mitel and/or Zoom UC and voice solutions, ideally in medium and enterprise environments. We require experience working in multi-vendor UC and hybrid environments. We value current or recent Mitel and Zoom certifications. We need demonstrable experience translating customer goals into technical designs. We require experience producing and owning High-Level Designs and design governance. We need strong stakeholder management skills across Sales, Delivery, Support and suppliers. We value experience mentoring engineers and supporting delivery teams. We require the ability to act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues. We need strong commercial awareness, including licensing models, hardware, professional services, margin protection and delivery risk. We require excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. We value high attention to detail, accountability and ownership of outcomes.
Desirable experience includes connectivity, SIP, networking and security architecture. Desirable experience includes supporting large-scale migrations and multi-site deployments. Responsibilities:
- We own and produce High-Level Design documentation during the pre-sales cycle.
- We validate solution architecture, licensing, hardware and professional service volumes.
- We engage in workshops and technical discussions to translate customer objectives into technical requirements.
- We own the design lifecycle, manage design changes and help limit scope creep.
- We liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure services are fit for purpose and correctly designed.
- We maintain technical accountability for delivery against agreed specifications.
- We support the development and approval of Low-Level Design and as-built documentation.
- We lead Delivery-to-Support handovers to ensure operational readiness and service acceptance.
- We act as a senior escalation point, liaising with customers, suppliers and internal technical teams.
- We drive standardisation, best practice and repeatable design frameworks.
We are offering a full-time, permanent Pre-Sales Solution Architect role based in Chorley, Lancashire, North West England, with a structured hybrid working model to support work‑life balance. Our office days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with Tuesday and Thursday working from home, and colleagues who live more than 40 miles from one of our offices are usually home workers with agreed office attendance at least once a month. We offer a salary of up to £65,000 per annum depending on experience.
