This is a rewarding opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager who enjoys pace, variety and hands-on leadership in a busy retail setting. As the Assistant Store Manager you will support daily store operations, help plan rotas around event schedules, manage stock availability and maintain strong customer service standards. The Assistant Store Manager will also use Excel and internal systems to support sales forecasting, ordering and stock planning during high-demand periods. The role would suit someone organised, adaptable and confident leading a team when footfall and trading patterns change quickly.
DUTIES- Store Operations: Support the day-to-day running of the store, ensuring high standards are maintained across service, presentation and trading activity.
- Rotas and Staffing: Plan, manage and optimise staff rotas in line with event schedules, trading patterns and peak footfall.
- Pricing and Product Accuracy: Manage product pricing, ensuring information is accurate, competitive and kept up to date.
- Ordering and Stock Availability: Place and manage orders, helping ensure stock is available to meet customer demand during busy periods.
- Sales and Stock Forecasting: Use Excel and internal systems to forecast sales and stock requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate and support team members during busy, fast-moving and high-pressure trading periods.
- Customer Service: Help ensure excellent customer service is delivered consistently across the store.
- Compliance and Safety: Maintain compliance with company procedures, health and safety and food safety standards.
- Previous experience in retail or convenience store management.
