An Apprentice Tool Hire Assistant who has an interest in mechanical products and is willing to learn how to service and maintain plant machinery and equipment with excellent customer service and written and verbal communication skills is required for an apprenticeship programme with a well-established building supplies company based in Bridport, Dorset, South West England. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROVIDED.

Successful candidates will work within the business whilst gaining valuable experience and qualifications completing the following apprenticeship course:

  • APPRENTICESHIP COURSE: Customer Service Level 2

SALARY: Competitive (Higher than the National Apprentice Rate) + Benefits

LOCATION: Bridport, Dorset, South West England (Must live within a reasonable commuting distance to Bridport)

Working as part of the branch team as an Apprentice Tool Hire Assistant within a busy builders merchants, you’ll have a great opportunity to start your career with a well-established company. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING | Apprentice Tool Hire Assistant

The Tool Hire team are involved in the supply and maintenance of a wide variety of plant, machinery and tools to help customers build. From diggers and dumpers through to drills and small hand tools, the Tool Hire team are responsible for hiring out these products and servicing and maintaining them when they are returned. As part of your apprenticeship, you will learn how to provide excellent service to customers as well as growing your knowledge of the plant, machinery and products on offer. Throughout your apprenticeship, the company will provide training, support and development to ensure you get the best possible start to your career.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • You will have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • As the role involves servicing and maintaining plant and machinery, an interest in mechanical products along with a full, clean driving licence is essential.
  • Self-motivated and confident with a positive attitude towards providing great customer service.
  • You must also be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Willing to complete the apprenticeship training course.
