Administrator / Reception Administration Assistant with experience in a similar administrative / receptionist / customer service role, who has excellent communication, organisational and database skills is required to join the Learning Hub of a well-established adult learning provider.

This role is known internally as a Learner Hub Receptionist / Learning Centre Administrator

SALARY: £22,932 – £24,225 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire (DN15) – Fully Office Based

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Reception Administration Assistantwith experience in a similar administrative / receptionist / customer service role, who has excellent communication, organisational and database skills.

As the Administrator / Reception Administration Assistant you will be based on the Reception Desk and your role is to ensure that the learning centre is a safe and positive environment for staff, students, visitors and contractors.

The Administrator / Reception Administration Assistant will be based onsite enabling the building to run smoothly and efficiently, by providing support and guidance to all users.

You will provide administrative support to site users and to the wider Estates and Health and Safety team. This may mean supporting in the administration of the security systems, ensuring accurate visitor records, keeping health and safety checks up to date, supporting tutors with any requirements, and supporting visitors too.

DUTIES

Your duties as an Administrator / Reception Administration Assistant include:

  • Support the Estates and Health & Safety team and wider colleagues with a range of key tasks in relation to site compliance
  • Check and record all weekly and monthly site testing documents/responses and statutory compliance for inspections
  • Meeting and Greeting Guests, students and contractors, ensuring the best experience at all times
  • Taking full details of any queries and passing on as appropriate
  • Providing administrative support in specific, time limited projects that arise
  • Reporting of health and safety and maintenance issues to the appropriate persons in a timely manner

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • NVQ2 or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • A proven track record of strong administrative ability
  • Good experience of working with databases including the creation of queries and reports
  • The ability to work within a team to achieve planned performance outcomes
  • The ability to take the administrative lead within a close working but dispersed team
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • The ability to achieve results in time-limited projects
