An excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive Administrator / Administration Assistant to provide high-quality administrative and reception support within a busy secondary education environment, supporting staff, students and senior leaders.

SALARY: £25,186 per annum FTE / Actual Annual Salary £21,601 per annum + Benefits
LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire (SO30)
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent (term time only)
WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm (term time only – 39 weeks)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Administration Assistant to join a growing and forward-thinking secondary school during an exciting phase of development.
As an Administrator / Administration Assistant you will play a key role in supporting daily school operations, providing professional reception cover, administrative support to pastoral and school systems, and assistance to senior leadership.
This Administrator / Administration Assistant role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and experience within an office or education administration setting who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

DUTIES
- Reception and Switchboard Support: Providing daily front-of-house and telephone cover when required
- Administrative Support: Assisting with pastoral, student and whole-school administrative systems
- Senior Leadership Assistance: Providing administrative support to members of the Senior Leadership Team
- Systems Development: Supporting the development and maintenance of computer-based administrative systems
- Team Cover: Providing back-up support for colleagues during periods of absence
- First Aid Support: Holding or undertaking First Aid training and providing medical room cover when needed
- General Administration: Undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role as directed
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communication skills with staff, students and visitors
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Willingness to undertake First Aid training if required
- A professional, approachable and team-focused attitude
