A 7.5 Tonne Driver (C1) is required for a tight-knit team within a busy Warehouse / Depot in Newark, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands. The ideal candidate will have experience of driving a 7.5T lorry. However, applications from candidates with a Class 2 License who can drive heavier lorries are also welcome.

WORKING HOURS: Core hours are usually 8am to 4pm. Flexibility is required during high seasons due to the nature of the agricultural business.

JOB OVERVIEW: The 7.5 Tonne Driver (C1) will safely deliver goods using the most efficient route, adhere to road transport legislation, and ensure safe vehicle loads. Responsibilities include loading and unloading vehicles using a Forklift Truck or by handballing when necessary.

DUTIES:

  • Deliver goods promptly and cost-effectively as instructed by the Depot Supervisor.
  • Load, drive and unload the vehicle within regulations.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle and tachograph records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Operate a fork-lift truck safely; training is provided if necessary.
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
  • Work in any area of the depot as required.
