3.5 Tonne Driver
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a 3.5 Tonne Driver who has excellent time management, customer service and communication skills.
The role involves driving and operating a specialist vacuum tanker to and from various sites across London and the Home Counties.
Full training will be provided.
Prior experience driving 3.5 tonne vehicles is required.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have their own vehicle to pick up the tanker at the site.
Duties
- Safely and efficiently operate a 3.5 tonne vehicle equipped with a specialist vacuum tanker system, with additional training provided.
- Empty waste holding tanks, welfare units and water tanks at customer sites.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant health and safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including waste volumes and customer information.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.
- Provide a professional, helpful and reliable service to clients at each site.
- Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Valid UK Driving Licence, including Category C1 as required by the role.
- Previous experience driving 3.5 tonne vehicles.
- Good driving and manoeuvring skills, including confidence working in confined spaces.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry equipment.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Customer service focused approach.
- Own vehicle to get to and from the site to pick up the tanker.
Desirable
- Previous experience within waste management or a similar industry.
- Experience operating vacuum tanker systems.
- Experience towing trailers.
