3.5 Tonne Driver 3.5 Tonne Driver who has excellent time-management, customer service and communication skills is required to drive and operate a specialist vacuum tanker to and from a number of sites in and around London and the Home Counties. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – FULL TRAINING PROVIDED Previous industry experience would be great. But if not, full training will be provided. However, you will need experience driving 3.5T vehicles. If you’ve also worked in the following roles, we’d also like to hear from you: Van Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi Drop Driver, Tanker Driver, Waste Driver, Service Driver, Driver, Waste Tanker Driver SALARY: £34,000 per annum (reviewed after 3 months) LOCATION: Great Dunmow, Essex JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent PLEASE NOTE: You will need a full driving license and your own vehicle to get to and from the site to pick up the tanker. JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a 3.5 Tonne Driver who has excellent time-management, customer service and communication skills. Working as the 3.5 Tonne Driver you will drive and operate a specialist vacuum tanker, emptying waste holding tanks, welfare units and water tanks at customer sites across London and the Home Counties. As the 3.5 Tonne Driver you do not need previous vacuum tanker experience as full training will be provided. However, you will need experience driving 3.5 tonne vehicles, a good level of fitness and the ability to complete manual handling tasks. DUTIES Your duties as the 3.5 Tonne Driver include: • Vehicle Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a 3.5 tonne vehicle equipped with a specialist vacuum tanker system, with additional training provided • Site Services: Empty waste holding tanks, welfare units and water tanks at customer sites • Health and Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant health and safety regulations and environmental guidelines • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including waste volumes and customer information • Vehicle Checks: Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working order • Customer Service: Provide a professional, helpful and reliable service to clients at each site CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL • Valid UK Driving Licence, including Category C1 as required by the role • Previous experience driving 3.5 tonne vehicles • Good driving and manoeuvring skills, including confidence working in confined spaces • Strong understanding of road safety regulations • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Physically fit and able to lift and carry equipment • Excellent time management and organisational skills • Customer service-focused approach • Own vehicle to get to and from the site to pick up the tanker DESIRABLE • Previous experience within waste management or a similar industry • Experience operating vacuum tanker systems • Experience towing trailers • 7.5 tonne licence HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
