SALARY: £16.00 – £20.00 per hour + Benefits
LOCATION: Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire, North East England
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 07:00–13:00. Flexible working can be applied to this role. This is an on-site role; hybrid or home working is not available.
JOB OVERVIEW
This is an opportunity to turn customer drawings and models into accurate, production-ready manufacturing information within a busy subcontract engineering environment.
The CAD / CAM Programmer will prepare clear manufacturing packs, combining CAD drawings, models and offline CNC programs to support quality and on-time delivery.
Working closely with production, the CAD / CAM Programmer will identify drawing issues early, simulate programs and help jobs move smoothly into manufacture.
The CAD / CAM Programmer will also contribute to how work is planned and executed, with ongoing professional development supported.
DUTIES
Your duties as the CAD / CAM Programmer include:
2D Drawing and 3D Modelling: Create accurate drawings and models for production
Drawing Review: Check client drawings and identify missing or conflicting dimensions and tolerances
CNC Programming and Simulation: Produce CNC programs offline and run simulations to prove out work before production
Manufacturing Documentation: Create manufacturing packs, ballooned drawings ...
